The list of full tested WAD's probably later will be included in a separate section if there are enough players to form one will be also. I've mentioned a few generally good WAD's that the community is referring to, but haven't played them much myself. If you combine it with custom Heretic PWAD, not the original game, result is unpredictable. The degree of pairing can range from "normal" to "completely unplayable" in case of difficulty and enemies toughness. "Wrath of Cronos" must work fine with any Hexen PWAD, but completely unpredictable in relation to Heretic.

Perhabs you will need to choose less difficult, but that will be enough. "Complex Doom" can be combined, probably, with any PWAD just fine. Craft book of power, for example or some crafting/collecting stuff available. Mod is not too complex / not hard to get into / setup. Power up the weapon 1-2-3 times / weapons not stick to "lazy" Hexen scheme. map pack, is action oriented and not "typical" Hexen "like kind" maze WAD or just one map. You can level up the hero and take some passive abilities. If you are looking for some of this kind for regular games / random WAD's, as I was, and also want to set them up fast for comfort playing - you are in a right place.
